Tossed Out Into A Sea Of Normal
Like children, songs are born of mysterious unions, hidden from prying eyes and ears till maturity before being thrown into the harsh realities of the “real life.” Embracing this analogy to its fullest, Drink Up Buttercup will release a live video document of every song from their debut record, stripped of studio trickery & audio comfort zones, embracing the strange surroundings they find themselves in - basements filled with balloons, children’s playgrounds and old folks homes. One new track will be released every Tuesday, culminating, on March 23rd, with the release of their debut LP Born and Thrown on a Hook. The project begins today, Jan. 12th as it should, in the basement of Jim & Farzad’s parents’ houses with the record’s opening track “Seasickness Pills.”
